Arana’s collections parallel his own story and desire to explore the lives of forgotten people and times. Over the years, his work has evolved from painting and drawing historical figures and moments, to now- a personal storytelling focused on his own recollection of memories. It’s a reanimation of his own imagination, a reflection of his perception of reality as a child, and the realization that those we once saw as flawless superheroes, are but perfectly flawed humans.
